Now that Team Monocle have completed 5 weeks of tracking their mood before and after exercise, Monocle Data is using lessons learnt from this small-scale test run of collecting and analysing this data to refine processes for our aim to collect mood data from a larger cross-section of the population. This will allow us to program an algorithm to develop the #MoodMove app which will then be used in a formal study in collaboration with NeuRA (Neuroscience Research Australia).
Through this process, we aim to demonstrate the long-term benefits of exercise on mental health and that tracking this is a strong motivator to keep exercising.
To assist our researchers in continuing to build a base of quality data, we are currently seeking volunteers to participate in our research program to provide mood data. If you are willing to assist us, and would like to be kept informed on the progress of the app or further contributions you can make to research in the future, please email info@monocledata.com.au.
You can read more about Team Monocle who have been our test team for data collection over the past months on the Monocle Data blog page: https://www.monocledata.com.au/blog.
There is no payment for your time and we abide by the Monocle Data Privacy and Data Handling Accord in the use of data collected.
We welcome and very much appreciate sharing of this research opportunity with friends, family and colleagues!
