Influencing or modifying behaviours can dramatically improve health, educational, social and economic outcomes for individuals and organisations. Despite a wealth of evidence indicating the benefit of implementing behavioural interventions for these purposes, such approaches are rarely applied to real-word problems. Recent advances in computer science, neuroscience and social science places us in a better position than ever to target behaviours to achieve positive outcomes and is becoming increasingly utilised in the 21st Century. Australia has few training providers with the required expertise and skills to train decision-makers across the private, NGO and government sectors in these “thinking and acting” strategies.
Dr Sundresan (Sunny) Naicker is an expert in behavioural interventions and evaluations to achieve and/or improve specific outcomes. On Monday 19th August, Sunny will be speaking at The ZEST Group offices, across all ZEST internal teams that comprise companies delivering communications, strategic consulting and services to the health sector.
Sunny will outline the most up-to-date behaviour change frameworks and how they have been shown to improve patient health outcomes as well as enhance quality of service delivery for health systems. He will outline strategies for implementing these frameworks effectively and quickly across different organisations and in your own everyday thinking and problem solving. He will also inform on the best ways to evaluate the effectiveness of these strategies.
